Digestive System
With in my education classes, I was asked to deliver a lesson to my peers. I choose to deliver a lesson on the anatomy of the digestive system. In linking this lesson to technology I had the smart board project the anatomy of the digestive system. This image was interactive, for example in discussing the stomach I was able to click on the stomach and have that area zoom in on the smart board. In addition, I was able to click around areas and highlight certain organs to further explain the anatomy. Please clink on the link below to view the animation I used.

Learning Activity
For this lesson I used chocolate as a hook, this would also allow me to reference the chocolate as it would be moving in students digestive system. I then indicated that the digestive system acts as a long tube. With the use of this link, http://science.nationalgeographic.com/science/health-and-human-body/human-body/digestive-system-article.html I was able to reference parts of the digestive system as students followed along on their worksheets. Projected on the SMART board I was able to click on organs. It also provided me the flexibly to zoom out when I need to review the organs.
