About me
“NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE, THE WORD ITSELF SAYS 'I'M POSSIBLE'!”
- AUDREY HEPBURN
I was born and raised in Calgary. I have a degree in science, specifying in Chemistry and Biology with a minor in Psychology from the University of Calgary. In the process of obtaining my degree, I used creative methods in order to study all the different types of information being presented. To be a great teacher creativity and perseverance are a must and I believe that my degree has reenforced these skills. I have also worked with children and youth varying in ages. I have tutored young teens aging from fifteen to seventeen. It was here I was able to help these youths with subjects that pertained to my degree. Outside of the academic world I have traveled to many places. Some of the most fascinating places I have been to, are Egypt, India, Caribbean and Europe. Going to Egypt along with the famous pyramids and mummified bodies I had a growing appreciation for Egypt’s history. As for India, I appreciated its rich diversity since each part had a very distinctive culture. Europe was full of a different kind of culture where it seemed as if people really do take the time to enjoy the simple things in life such as sitting outside and having a coffee. Going to different places all over the world I have realized one thing that all countries have in common. Each place is dependent on their children for their future. Which is my reason for becoming a teacher, I know that I will be a small part of this future and be able to make a difference in a student’s life.
