Triathlon
Recently, one of the things I have loved doing is running. While teaching in England I met other teachers who were just as active as me. More specifically I met a teacher who loves to bike and another who loves to swim, both from Australia. It seemed like a match made in heaven as we decided to join a relay triathlon. Here every individual would participate in one portion of the triathlon.
This became a great teaching moment for me, I often reference the hours of practice we all completed. What a better way to show students the benefits of practice, perseverance and dedication than using yourself. It was also a great reminder to us teachers, as to how students might feel when they have to do something out of their comfort zone.
Our efforts paid off as we came first for female relay!
