Teaching Philosophy
My goal as a teacher is to ensure that every student is able to progress, learn and improve. Their success is measured on their own individual scale. As a teacher I will find creative and innovative methods to inspire students and achieve success.
Beliefs and Values
I believe that the recipe for success in anything follows a few simple rules; having passion, creativity, motivation and perseverance. I believe that teachers must contain these qualities and present them in the classroom, this will extend on to their students allowing both parties to achieve success. In addition, a teacher must value the individuals of their classroom and illicit some teaching methods of differentiation.
In terms of creating success as a teacher, I believe that they must be passionate about their job. This will allow the other qualities of creativity, motivation and persistence to come through. Creativity allows a teacher to use a variety of methods to teach a single concept. For instance, the use of YouTube or reference to pop culture to explain a concept. This creative form of teaching, will allow students easily remember the information as it is presented in a form they understand. This will allow them to be further motivated to learn the information. Students may then begin to realize that their potential is indeed endless. This would spark their passion for their learning. This new form passion will motivate them to open themselves up to the new lessons or topics that are being presented to them.
Any classroom is filled with different personalities. These individuals have different learning styles that must be addressed by the teacher. It takes a motivated and persistent teacher to address the many differences in the classroom. However in implementing these methods of differentiation each student’s success will be measured on an individual basis, allowing them to know how they learn best preparing them for a world where one must truly know themselves in order to succeed.
