The notion of an interactive book could be used to help those who are learning English as a second language since they may not know what a word is, however by seeing an illustration they may gain a better sense. Furthermore, with the use of ICT outcomes I was able to understand that even the most simplest use of technology touches the ICT outcomes. For example, after an online story is read and students have to complete an activity on it, this would satisfy the ICT outcome C.7.1.3 where students in divisions one must draw conclusions from organized information
Aside from storybooks, I was able to find a few videos which could also be used in a teaching lesson. For example, when having to demonstrate an experiment, as a future teacher of science I could use videos to demonstrate the experiment. This would cut costs and I could pause at certain points and explain portions of the experiment.
With all the resources at my finger tips, I can avoid the over used lecture style of teaching. Each resource will allow for a variety of teaching styles in my teaching career. After this lesson I know where to look for the resources thus, I can prepare by obtaining materials before I head off to my practicum.
